Gladsheim is the Indiana chapter of Vikings North America, a living history society. Gladsheim is made up of individuals and families that share a common interest in Anglo-Scandinavian history, primarily dealing with the Viking's area of influence, from 793 to 1066.

We strive to educate and entertain our members and the public by sharing what we learn in books and practical research.  We research clothes, shoes, jewelry, and tools so that in every detail, and as accurately as possible, we are portraying the Viking Age life.  Much of our time at an event is spent demonstrating the craft and skills of the Viking Age and whenever safely, we try to allow the audience to experience these skills first hand.  It is through this direct hands-on experience that we are able to gain a greater understanding and appreciation of how people lived and worked in the period.
